Prevention must begin at an age when young people are beginning to make their own choices about their bodies and future. HEART should not simply be about providing facts and information about HIV&AIDS, but rather an offering of crucial decision-making and conflict resolution skills. HEART is a project run this year in Kensington for grade 7 learners. Intensive training is given to volunteers who need to deal with such sensitive issues and the stigma attached to HIV&AIDS.
