SHAWCO owns a fleet of vehicles, donated to us over the years. These vehicles are used to transport student volunteers from UCT to various townships within the Cape Metropole. Realising the potential to generate income from providing a transport service to UCT and other community organisations during our down time, a profit making company was established in 2007 and the buses are now registered under the new company, SHAWCO Community Transport Services. The intention is to generate enough income to cover SHAWCO transport costs and contribute towards core expenses.
The fleet consists of:
- 1 x 69 Seater
- 1 x 32 Seater
- 3 x 22 Seaters
- 1 x 14 Seater
- 1 x 7 Seater
SHAWCO Community Transport Services is insured with passenger liability.
All of our drivers have valid driver’s licenses and Public Drivers Permits (PDP).
SHAWCO Community Transport Services offers short and long distance trips.
